April 27, 2026
Bradley University has announced the appointment of Jane Walsh as Vice President for Advancement, effective May 25.
Walsh brings more than 20 years of experience in fundraising leadership, strategic planning, and nonprofit management. She currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer at the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), a global nonprofit organization focused on entrepreneurship education. In her role, she leads a nationwide advancement team responsible for fundraising, events, and volunteer engagement across seven U.S. regions, driving significant growth in philanthropic support.
Prior to her work with NFTE, Walsh served as Director of Development for the College of Fine Arts at Illinois State University. During her tenure, she helped lead the college to a record fundraising year as part of the university’s Redbirds Rising campaign and increased the college’s endowment by nearly 75%.
A native of Peoria, Walsh brings both national experience and a strong connection to the local community.
“Jane is a proven advancement leader with a deep understanding of the transformative power of higher education,” said President Shadid. “Her ability to build meaningful relationships, inspire philanthropic investment, and create meaningful advancement strategies makes her an outstanding addition to Bradley. We are thrilled to welcome her back to Peoria and to our campus community.”
Walsh will report directly to President Shadid and will oversee all aspects of Bradley’s advancement operations, including fundraising, alumni relations, and donor engagement.
Charlie Roy, who has served as Interim Vice President for Advancement, will transition into the role of Director of Principal Gifts, where he will continue to build and strengthen relationships with key donors.
