To meet the growing demand for online graduate education programs, Bradley University and Pearson announced today a joint effort to create five online degree programs in nursing and counseling. Through the partnership, Pearson will provide a full suite of student support and retention services, course development and design, faculty support, marketing, recruitment, and helpdesk services. Bradley is planning to offer online graduate nursing and counseling programs scheduled to be launched in the Fall 2015 semester. The programs in development will include:
- Registered Nurse to Master of Science in Nursing (RN to MSN) in Nursing Administration
- Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN FNP)
- Post-Master’s Certificate – Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP Certification)
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with Leadership and Family Nurse Practitioner concentrations
- Master of Arts (MA) in Counseling with Professional School Counseling & Clinical Mental Health Counseling concentrations
Bradley University accommodates the educational needs of nurses across the nursing professional continuum. By offering graduate nursing programs in a unique design, registered nurses select the pathway option depending upon their current professional qualification. The curriculum design provides nurses with a RN/ADN, RN/BSN, MSN, or DNP with the options to complete a MSN (Administration or FNP), Post-Master’s Certificate in FNP and DNP (general or FNP).
Bradley President Joanne Glasser, said, “Bradley focuses on programs of national distinction and these online learning programs will be transformative for the University. New graduate programs in nursing coupled with our existing programs that are currently rising in national distinction, make our offerings even more attractive to a new and growing demographic of students. This partnership enables Bradley to expand select high-demand programs through Pearson’s extensive expertise in delivering innovative online learning services. The DNP offering will become the second doctorate available from Bradley in the health professions, along with the first offering, a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. This shows our commitment to providing excellent programming in the health professional areas.”
Pearson’s Senior Vice President of Online Learning Services, Todd Hitchcock, said, “With the aging population and changing demographics in North America, qualified healthcare professionals are in high demand today and will continue to be well into the future. We are honored to partner with Bradley University to develop a scalable and sustainable online learning infrastructure to support their programs and prepare learners for long-term career success.”
Bradley University has received several U.S. News Best College rankings, including #4 Regional Universities Midwest and #9 Best Value Schools among other national recognitions.
