The Bradley Speech Team, its motivated members and its unmatched record were highlighted both on NPR’s Weekend Edition Saturday and Chicago’s NPR affiliate WBEZ Chicago this month.

NPR’s Weekend Edition examined the team’s impressive legacy of winning 41 of the 70 national collegiate speech team competitions ever held. Team coach Ken Young ’05 and members Cecil Blutcher and Jacoby Cochran, both seniors, were mentioned in the story. The full segment aired April 20.

WBEZ Chicago interviewed junior Kaybee Brown, who was crowned the individual sweepstakes champion at the National Forensics Association, a national tournament won by the University’s team. Brown talked about how his time on the speech team has shaped and improved his communication skills.
