IABC-BU celebrates the success of Organizational Communication students at the BU Student Expo

IABC-BU invites you to join them for an evening of networking and celebrations
Tue, April 22, 7:00 pm, GCC 103.
The Department of Communication is proud to announce that two Organizational Communication majors and International Association Business Communicators-BU leaders received the highest awards at this year’s Bradley University Undergraduate Student Expo held Thursday, April 17.
Alyssa Roehrig, junior Organizational Communication major and Vice President of Membership for IABC-BU, received the President’s Award for her study of an assisted living facility.
Matt Carlberg, senior majoring in Psychology and Sociology with an Organizational Communication minor and President of IABC-BU, received the Provost’s Award for his study of a large human resources Team.
The student projects were completed as part of the Researching Organizational Culture (COM316) course taught by Dr. Elena Gabor in Fall 2013.
Agenda for the April 22 IABC-BU Meeting:
– Welcome and celebration of Expo Student award winners for their excellent work.
– Q & A for freshmen, sophomores, juniors to address questions to seniors and Organizational Communication faculty regarding courses, combinations of majors/minors, future careers, and their Bradley experiences.
– Informal meet and greet, “free float”, and network time
Snacks and soft drinks will be provided.
A very informal event is designed to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of the Org Com community.
