Cello and Voice Duo To Perform

The Duo Striata will perform at Bradley University on Monday, November 3, at 7:30 p.m. in Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue.
Duo Striata is made up of Timothy and Karen Archbold. Timothy is an adjunct professor of cello at Bradley and freelances in the Chicago area. He also performs in the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra and performs as assistant principal in the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra. Karen Archbold is a mezzo-soprano and was a 2014 finalist for the American Prize. She performs and teaches in the Chicago area.
The recital will include a work written for the Duo Striata by Catherine Grealish called Suite for Cello and Corella. It is a song cycle about Australian birds. Also on the program will be an arrangement of Edward Elgar’s Sea Pictures and Lori Laitman’s The Love Poems of Marichiko.
The Duo Striata has performed together for eight years, most recently giving performances in Tasmania and Victoria, Australia.
