College recognizes students’ work and scholarship

More than 200 students were honored for their academic work.

More than 200 undergraduate, masters and doctoral students in the College of Education and Health Sciences were recognized last month for their outstanding academic achievement and will graduate this week with honors.

Undergraduate students honored for their academic achievement had to have a grade point average of 3.4 or higher and graduate students needed a grade point average of 3.75 or higher.

The recognized students were from all five departments in the college and 60 scholarships were awarded from the five departments. Seven students were recognized and will graduate as global scholars.

The Joan L. Sattler Endowed Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching was awarded to Dr. Patricia Nugent from Teacher Education.

The EHS College Faculty Award for Excellence in Research was awarded to Dr. Jana Hunzicker from Teacher Education.
