Collegium Musicum Presents “La Musica Antiqua d’Italia”

The Collegium Musicum, Bradley University’s Early Music Consort, will present a recital on Monday, May 5, at 7:30 p.m. in Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue. Admission is free and open to the public.

The all-Italian program encompasses music from the 14th-18th centuries, featuring repertoire by renaissance madrigalist de Rore and baroque masters Alessandro Scarlatti and Arcangelo Corelli as well as lesser-known works for two to seven musicians by composers of the time.

Under the direction of Affiliate Instructor Lisette Kielson, the Collegium includes students Clara Capriotti (recorder, flute), Laura Jorgenson (violin), Annalise Pittenger (keyboard), Maggie Sloter (voice, recorder, trombone), Hope Webb (flute), and special guests Michael Archer (trombone) and staff accompanist Molly Sloter (keyboard).
