Department Merger
The Department of Teacher Education and the Department of Leadership in Education, Nonprofits and Counseling will merge to form one department.

Effective June 1, 2019, the Department of Teacher Education and the Department of Leadership in Education, Nonprofits and Counseling will merge to form one department. The merger initiated by Dean Joan Sattler, and supported by the faculty, will build greater efficiency, effectiveness, and use of human and capital resources. Also, the merger will best support students in the year round online programs in education and counseling. The new name of the department will be the Department of Education, Counseling, and Leadership. Dr. Dean Cantu will lead the new combined department as Associate Dean and Director.
