Guitarist Michael W. Hull, Affiliate Instructor at Bradley University, will present a recital featuring works from the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern Eras on Sunday, October 26 at 3:00 pm in Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue. Admission is free and open to general public.
Dr. Alison Robuck, oboist, is a guest performer on Hull’s 2013 composition Of Kindred Spirit, a work originally written for guitar and soprano saxophone.
Other composers featured on the program include John Dowland, Sylvius Leopold Weiss, Mauro Giuliani, Isaac Albeniz and Andrew York. The concert will appeal to a variety of musical tastes and temperaments: the light-hearted English Renaissance lute, the elegance and order of the Viennese Classical Era, the intensity and fire of the Spanish Romantic and the aesthetic sensibilities of modern art music.
