Katrina Schnell, ’13, graduated from Bradley’s Department of Interactive Media, and continues the growing legacy of alums scoring success in Los Angeles.
While at Bradley, Katrina participated in the Bradley Hollywood Semester. She interned with Blindlight in West Hollywood. At Blindlight, Katrina worked with the Hollywood side of the gaming industry. She specifically dealt with identifying and interviewing celebrities for the production and as voice-overs for games.
Following graduation, Katrina moved permanently to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the gaming industry. She joined other alumni from the Department of Interactive Media including Emily Berger ’11, Matt Vroman ’12, Anna Diep ’07, Jed Schlanger ’96, and Renee Radford ’06 as a working member of the entertainment industry. As a result of the incredible networking opportunities gained through her time with the Hollywood Semester, Katrina was quickly hired as an intern with Obsidian. In January, Katrina assumes the full-time position of Associate Producer with Obsidian, a major gaming development house located in Irvine, California.
During her time as an intern with Obsidian, Katrina was able to assist with a trailer for an upcoming game entitled Project Eternity, now officially named Pillars of Eternity. Katrina added her talents to the gaming project by singing and playing the violin for the trailer. The amazing new game has a fantastic look, and was developed by a group of people who were involved in making the Baldur’s Gate game. Check it out the trainer.
