Michael W. Hull will direct the Bradley University Guitar Ensemble in a program ranging in style from Renaissance to jazz on December 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Dingeldine Music Center. Admission is free and open to the public.
In the anticipation of the season of madrigal events and also the hopes of a pleasant spring, the group performs two Thomas Morley works—Sing and We Chant it along with April is in My Mistress’ Face. Other featured compositions include Hull’s Rhapsody, Op. 1 and Brouwer’s Cuban Landscape with Rain. In addition, the ensemble presents a jazz set with tunes by Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington and more.
