Ian – Internship Updates!

Hey everyone!
I am really excited to share with all of you a BIG life update of mine! Okay, it’s not huge, but I am still really excited about it! I got an internship for this summer!! I am really excited that I will be interning at ComEd, working in their social media department! For those of you NOT from the Chicagoland area, ComEd is the power company for those who live in Chicago and the suburbs around it. They bring electricity to millions of homes and I am really excited to catch a small glimpse of the enormous operation they put on. I am not entirely sure exactly what my role will be with them this summer, but I know I will be working with their social media team, which I know will be a great learning experience.
Honestly, I do have to give a huge thanks for Bradley for leading me towards getting this internship, because I don’t think I would have figured all of this out without all the help I have gotten from them. As some of you may remember from one of my previous blogs, I have been on a WILD journey of trying to figure out my major, what I am passionate about, and what I want to for a living. While I am still always trying to figure that out, all of my experiences at Bradley have helped me find things that I really enjoy doing that I wouldn’t have necessarily seen myself doing. First off, the support I have gotten in the classroom from my professors has really helped me learn more not only about the topics they teach, but also about myself.
Additionally, this past August, I became the social media intern for the Admissions office at Bradley, which has helped me learn so much about the field of social media and all the different career opportunities there are in the area. My experiences of helping to create content for the social media pages, learning more about different ways to use social media, and most importantly interacting with all the awesome people like yourself, made me want to continue doing the same type of work this summer (and probably looked decent on that resume!)
Bradley really has helped me develop my interest in Public Relations and social media and I am really excited to be able to take those experiences with me into my internship for the summer. That’s all I got for y’all today! Thanks for reading about my exciting news! If you have any exciting news, feel free to share! I would love to hear about it!
Peace,
Ian
