Professor Sara Netzley Interviewed LL Cool J and took away more than just bragging rights.

When Bradley communication professor Dr. Sara Netzley started writing for Entertainment Weekly, she didn’t expect it to lead to an interview with “NCIS” star LL Cool J.
Netzley has recapped “West Wing” episodes for EW’s “EW Community” blog for several (HOW MANY?) years, and now her “NCIS” blogs appear on the show’s website.
That led to a request from the “NCIS” publicist to interview LL Cool J — an offer she quickly accepted.
Though she didn’t know what to expect, Netzley said the actor was upbeat and open, which made for a smooth, informative interview.
Netzley, an “Entertainment Weekly” subscriber since 1995, enjoys writing for the publication, because of her love for TV, movies and pop culture. Additionally, she noted it helps her teaching. Her experiences help students understand media from an insiders’ perspective
Incidentally, the LL Cool J interview coincided with an assignment she gave to one of her classes a few days earlier. Students were asked to list 10 celebrity interview questions.
Netzley had each student in her class come up with ten celebrity interview questions. When the students returned to class Netzley had each of the students share their best question.
Then, she shared news of her big interview.
