Be Yourself. No one does it better is the theme for the student poster

Eighteen kindergarteners from Peoria Academy visited the Department of Art Friday, February 22. They saw the letterpress studio in Heuser Hall on the Bradley University campus to see firsthand (and participate in) the printing of a poster composed of their artwork being produced on the letterpress equipment. They, along with their teachers and parents, learned from several stations manned by volunteers from the Peoria letterpress printing club and Bradley University students, how books and posters are designed and printed. This project is just one in a series of group projects carried out by a group of community-minded letterpress enthusiasts who have dubbed themselves “the Printers Rowe Group.”
The artwork for the poster (shown in the website slider) was done by every student in the class, based on the admonition to “Be Yourself. No one does it better.” The composite design of the poster was executed by Becky Krohe, and the printing overseen by Robert Rowe and members of the letterpress group.
