MBA student and 2012 spring graduate Alex Kareotes was recognized this month in the Peoria Journal Star’s Most Interesting Young Person contest. The contest honors central Illinois youth ages 15 to 25 for their work and leadership in the community.

Kareotes, who graduated with a degree in graphic design from Bradley, is currently employed as a graphic designer by Soderstrom Dermatology Center while working toward her MBA in the Foster College of Business.

She was praised for her charitable work, which includes sitting on the Illinois CancerCare Foundation’s Young Leaders Advisory Board and fundraising to assist people in the community who have been diagnosed with cancer.

A panel of six judges selected Kareotes and eight others out of a pool of 85 nominations.

Readers can find the full interview with Kareotes on the Peoria Journal Star website.
