Jared Bartman ’10 recently performed a free show at Dingeldine Music Center to kick off his 2012 East Coast tour. Touring with Bartman is 20,000 Leagues Under the String Quartet, composed of current Bradley music students. Performing and pictured in the photograph with Jared are Jenna Ferdon-violin, Brianna Smith-violin, Britney Whiting-cello, Alyssa Przygoda-viola.
At the free concert, Bartman performed songs from 2008’s “I Refute Technology” and 2009’s “Jersey Shore.” He also showcased various new songs from an album that will be released soon. He is getting help from several Bradley alums and current students on his new material.
Some of Bartman’s past songs had elements that could not be performed live. His new music will focus more on things that he can do live so that he can tour with them immediately. He welcomes the opportunity to tour across the country, as it allows him to bring his music to more people and connect with more fans at the same time.
Bartman’s next local show will be on Saturday, March 24 at 2020 House on Clarke Ave. in Peoria at 7:00 p.m. Also performing are “We Are the Willows and Peter Adriel”. The show is free and open to all ages.
