10/08/2018 3:15 PM

Violinist Marcia Henry Liebenow, faculty member in the Department of Music and Concertmaster of the Peoria Symphony Orchestra, was recently recognized on American Public Media’s Performance Today program. Performance Today is America’s most popular classical music radio program and a winner of the 2014 Gabriel Award for artistic achievement. The show, which features live concert recordings as well as in-studio performances and interviews, is broadcast on nearly 300 public radio stations across the country, and reaches approximately 1.4 million listeners each week.

Henry Liebenow was featured on the August 20 show with her performance of Miniatures, Op. 20 by César Cui, from the 2017 Red Lodge Music Festival in Montana. Performance Today also interviewed Marcia in August 2018, and parts of the interview are included on the show. Here is the link to the program, and she is featured in the first hour of the show:  https://www.yourclassical.org/programs/performance-today/episodes/2018/08/20
