The Department of Biology now has three majors – Biology, Environmental Sciences and Biomedical Sciences. The curriculum overlaps through the sophomore year (with the exception of the BIO/ENS/BMS 150 course, which wil l be tailored for the different goals of the enrolled students. The ne w Biomedical Sciences major will allow students to focus more on the future endeavors of professional schools following completion of the Bradley degree and incorporates much of the expected courses for the MCAT testing and medical school prerequisite courses. Both the Biology and Biomedical Sciences majors have concentrations, allowing students to further focus on their course work and experiences at Bradley. As a department, we are extremely proud of the success rate for medical school (and other professional school applicants) and believe that, while it is not required, the Biomedical Sciences major will further help students in their career goals. Additional courses beyond what is listed in the figure are required. For more information, please visit the Department of Biology’s homepage (http://www.bradley.edu/academic/ departments/biology/).
