Bradley’s newest major in Hospitality and Leadership has been approved to begin in the fall semester of 2011. The new program prepares students for diverse careers in the hospitality industry, facilities services, food service, lodging, event planning, and tourism.
The Hospitality Leadership major at Bradley prepares students for successful careers through coursework leading to a Bachelor of Science degree. A 640 hour internship experience and a minor in management, marketing, or professional sales is required. Majors must also complete either the Bradley Global Scholars program or enroll in at least one study abroad session.
Bradley’s Family & Consumer Sciences Department is a premium member of ICHRIE- the professional home for global hospitality and tourism education and research. The program’s curriculum is designed to meet accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA).
Job opportunities for new graduates are expected to be especially strong as current estimates show that the industry employs over 10 million people. Employers report that they are seeking more graduates with a hospitality degree.
