The work of Lyndsay Szerletich, a senior in social work, was highlighted this week by the Peoria Journal Star. The article quotes Szerletich and discuss her internship spent organizing Operation Snowflake at Sterling Middle School in Peoria. The student-led program uses skits and small group sessions to promote self-reflection and help reduce the risk of drug and alcohol abuse among youth.
At Bradley, social work students complete 30-hours a week internships in an agency during their senior year, working a required 420 hours for their internship.
