Bradley University welcomes a new celebrity on campus along with his brand new song “One More Night in Peoria.” Senior theater arts major Josiah Williams was commissioned by Bradley University to write a song about the university and local attractions.
“After taking some time to brainstorm ideas, I wrote the song over a couple of days. I recorded the entire piece in a four-hour session by myself,” Williams said. “I also mixed my own vocals.”
He describes the song as “catchy and easy to listen to and open to all music listeners.”
Williams worked one-on-one with Bradley Assistant Director Video Productions Jon Greenhoe for four days to create the music video. Williams lists artists like Andre 3000, Bruno Mars and Janelle Monae as his inspirations as an artist. His next project is the album “The Monday After II” out November 11.
Josiah was an opening act for Welcome Week entertainer, Chance The Rapper. He has a leading role in the upcoming Department of Theatre Arts production of “Side Show” opening at the Hartmann Center for the Creative Arts September 26, 2013.
