Interactive Media major, Zach Dalin, explored the world of web design and photography in his summer internship at FOX 2 KTVI and KPLR 11 in St. Louis, Missouri

Dalin was asked to be involved with the Web Development Team, a team tasked with covering a variety of concerts and events throughout the St. Louis area.  In order to shoot an event, Dalin had to contact press and marketing agents for permission to photograph the star

While at the concerts, Dalin had the privilege of working with some of the best known artists in the music industry.  “I was able to photograph Fun, Colbie Caillat, Trevor Hall, Rascal Flatts, Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum, O.A.R., Andy Grammar and many more. I was also able to do video interviews with Gavin DeGraw, Trevor Hall and Carolina Liar. It was truly inspiring to be around so many artists,” said Dalin.

Once Dalin had photographed and filmed the artists, he was given the job of uploading the content to their website and Facebook page, while also updating Twitter statuses to coincide with the events or related stories.

Dalin’s summer success led him to cover Bassnectar over the October Fall Break and he will work with the Carrie Underwood concert in November  “It was an unbelievable learning experience working at the station. I feel I have grown tremendously in my media design work from my internship experience at Fox KTVI and KPLR 11. It is something I will always be grateful for,” Dalin exclaimed.
