Pioneer in LGBTQ Equality to Speak on Campus
Jim Obergefell, the plaintiff in the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case Obergefell v. Hodges that legalized same-sex marriage, and a recently named “pioneer in LGBTQ equality” by the Human Rights Campaign, is set to speak on Bradley’s campus.

Jim Obergefell, the plaintiff in the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case Obergefell v. Hodges that legalized same-sex marriage, and a recently named “pioneer in LGBTQ equality” by the Human Rights Campaign, is set to speak on Bradley’s campus.
Obergefell will deliver a public speech in the Student Center Ballroom on February 22 at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.). The lecture will be followed by a Q&A session and a signing of his recent book, Love Wins: The Lovers and Lawyers Who Fought the Landmark Case for Marriage Equality. Books will be available for purchase.
