Scholar, Award-winning Teacher to Give Commencement Address
Dr. Chuck Stoner, an award-winning teacher and scholar at Bradley, will give the keynote address at the University’s mid-year commencement ceremony.

Dr. Chuck Stoner, an award-winning teacher and scholar at Bradley University, will give the keynote address at the University’s mid-year commencement ceremony on December 19 in the Renaissance Coliseum on campus.
Stoner’s address is titled, “Another Side of the Story,” and will address the need to move beyond simplistic views of complex issues. The ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Dr. Stoner, Professor of Management and Leadership at Bradley, is an engaging speaker and facilitator, and a specialist in leadership, interpersonal dynamics, and organizational change. His thirty-five year career in leadership development has allowed him to work with a number of Fortune 100 companies and provide executive coaching for key leaders, ranging from emerging high potential managers to CEOs. He was part of the creative team that started the Leadership Development Center, the Midwest affiliate of the world-renowned Center for Creative Leadership, and he continues his work with that organization today.
Stoner holds bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees from Florida State University. He has authored twelve books and scores of refereed articles and papers. His innovative textbook, Business: An Integrative Framework, has been adopted by universities throughout the world. His latest books are Inspired Physician Leadership: Creating Impact and Influence (2015); Building Leaders: Paving the Path for Emerging Leaders (2013). A Life in Balance: Finding Meaning in a Chaotic World and The Adversity Challenge: How Leaders Bounce Back from Setbacks. Chuck has received a number of Bradley University honors, including the Putnam Award for Teaching Excellence and the Presidential Achievement Award.
