Senior to Give Percussion Recital

Senior Taylor Pillischafske will present a percussion recital on November 8.

Taylor Pillischafske, a senior majoring in Music Education at Bradley University, will present a percussion recital on Saturday, November 8 at 3:00 p.m. in Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue. The performance is free and open to the public.  

The recital will feature several different percussion instruments including marimba, timpani, snare drums, toms and bongos. There also will be duet snare drum and marimba performances. Taylor will perform two accompanied solo compositions from Ney Rosauro, including his Concerto for Marimba and movements from his Concerto for Timpani. There will be movements from William Kraft’s solo French Suite for multiple percussion, and Guy Gauthreaux’s snare solo, American Suite.

Taylor, daughter of Peggy Pillischafske, is a 2011 graduate of Washington Community High School in Washington, Illinois. She is a student of Peggy Bonner of the Bradley music faculty, and is preparing for a career in Music Education.
