Spinning the Wheel

Ryan Southwood, ’16, will achieve his goal of appearing on Wheel of Fortune on Tuesday, March 29.    The Television Arts major in the Department of Communication applied for the collegiate Wheel of Fortune team last fall.   Following a series of interviews and tests, Ryan was selected as a contestant on his favorite game show.    He flew to Los Angeles in mid-February for the taping of the show.

Southward attended the spring 2015 Hollywood Semester and was “bitten” by the Hollywood bug.   He interned as a Production Assistant for Karga Seven Pictures during his semester in Los Angeles.   His constant networking of entertainment professionals helped increase his chances of appearing on the national game show.

Southward indicated he is a “winner” during the Wheel episode and won a trip to Costa Rica!
