Student to Give Trombone Recital

Senior Maggie Sloter will present a free trombone and voice recital on Saturday, October 3.

Peoria, IL – September 18, 2015 – Maggie Sloter, a senior majoring in Music Performance at Bradley University, will present a free trombone and voice recital on Saturday, October 3, at 7:30 p.m. in Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue.

The recital will feature other talented acts, including Conversation for Tenor and Bass Trombone by Charles Smalls in a duet with Zak Haubrich, Ballade by Eugene Bozza, Sonatine for Trombone and Piano by Jacques Lasterede, Concerto for Trombone and Orchestra by Nino Rota, and a vocal set including works by Berlioz and selections from the musicals Nine and Big Fish.

Maggie is the daughter of Jeff and Molly Sloter of Peoria, and is a 2012 graduate of Richwoods High School. She is a student of Ryan Miller and Shirley Salazar of the Bradley Department of Music and is preparing for a career in music, directing shows and playing trombone professionally.
