Bradley University students teamed up with a local coffee shop and their success lands them a spot in national competition. Students will be competing in Cincinnati, Ohio at the national Enactus USA Expo April 1-3. Enactus is an international non-profit organization that brings together student, academic and business leaders who are committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to improve enable progress.
The Bradley chapter of Enactus has been working with Thirty-Thirty Coffee in downtown Peoria. The group received a Sam’s Club Step Up for Small Business grant in August 2013. This grant mobilizes Enactus teams to empower a small business to strengthen their foundation for long-term success through improved business practices. The grant helped the Enactus team improve the quality of the coffee, the speed of service and overall customer care. The work done with Thirty-Thirty enabled them to hire more staff and support growth and increase economic sustainability for the venture.
