High achievers

The formal and private Tau Beta Pi induction ceremony serves to recognize those who have conferred honor upon their Alma Mater by distinguished scholarship and exemplary character as students in engineering. The eligible students represent the top of their class, and the students who are elected must demonstrate their character through service and scholarship prior to being inducted.
The banquet held by Tau Beta Pi immediately after induction celebrates the newly inducted members and their achievements. Aside from the meal, the inductees mingle with existing members, both young and old, in a relaxed atmosphere. The banquet also provides a chance for distinguished alumnus members and current officers to speak words of congratulations and wisdom to the new members.
The speakers at this event included Gwenne Henricks, the Vice President of Product Development and Global Technology and CTO of Caterpillar, Dr. Bruce Devantier, a professor of civil engineering at Southern Illinois University – Carbondale, district director for our Tau Beta Pi district, and national representative from Tau Beta Pi. Mrs. Henricks is also a Bradley alumnus from the Physics Department who proceeded to pursue a master’s degree in electrical engineering after graduating from Bradley.
