Here are a few events happening this week at Bradley.  Some are open to the public, but all are open to media coverage.  For more information contact the Bradley University Office of Public Relations.
Spring Job and Internship Fair

Typically 900 or more students attend the fair to learn about career opportunities and identify potential internship, cooperative education, and full-time positions.  It’s expected that nearly 100 employers will be at the fair.  The event takes place Thursday from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the Renaissance Coliseum.
The Ebola Effect:  The Impact of Global Health Crises
The Ebola outbreak last fall has claimed numerous lives in West Africa and poses significant economic and security challenges, not only for the region, but for the broader world. Join us for a panel discussion of this recent global health crisis. This event is presented by Peoria Area World Affairs Council and Institute of International Studies on Thursday, February 19 at 5:30 PM in the Student Center.  
 

Concert

The Symphonic Winds, conducted by Dr. David Vroman, will present a costumed, turn-of-the-century park concert on Sunday Feb 22 at 3 p.m. in Dingeldine Music Center. Admission is $20. Black History Month 
February is Black History Month. There are three events this week that may be of interest.  
February 16: Black History Bowl
This program is a fun, competitive opportunity for teams of students to showcase their knowledge about black history.

February 17: Mardi Gras Celebration 
Students United for Change aims to bring the annual tradition of Mardi Gras from New Orleans to Bradley University.

February 19: “The Mountaintop” Student Gathering and Reception
Black Student Alliance is providing students with a change to mix, mingle, and discuss their thoughts about Dr. Martin Luther King prior to attending the premiere of the February theater production, “The Mountaintop.”
