Kirsten Haglund speaks out about Eating Disorders in her talk “”Sexy, Shameful, Stigmatized: The Modern War on Women’s Bodies, Eating Disorders, and How to Break Free” on Monday, March 3 at 6:30 pm in Neumiller Auditorium in Bradley Hall.
She will also facilitate a lunchtime discussion on Tuesday at noon in Bradley 126.
Both events are free, open to the public, sponsored by the Body Project and supported by funds from BU’s ICAC board.
Ms. Haglund became Miss America 2008 on a platform of Eating Disorders Awareness, and is now an Ambassador for NEDA (National Eating Disorders Association).
What can you do? 1. Be there (of course)! but also 2. tell your co-workers, friends, other students, housemates, children, parents, siblings, friends at other schools — please urge folks to attend!
