Visiting Writers Series Presents Poetry Reading

Poet Joanne Diaz will present a poetry reading on November 11 at 7:30 p.m. in the Wyckoff Room of the Cullom-Davis Library.

Poet Joanne Diaz will present a poetry reading at Bradley University on Wednesday, November 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the Wyckoff Room of the Cullom-Davis Library. The event is free and open to the public, and is supported by the English Department and the Intellectual and Cultural Activities Committee.

Diaz has authored two poetry collections, My Favorite Tyrants, awarded the 2013 Brittingham Prize for Poetry, and The Lessons, winner of the Gerald Cable Book Award. With Ian Morris, she also co-edited The Little Magazine in Contemporary America. Diaz is the recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Illinois Arts Council, the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, and the Sustainable Arts Foundation. Her poems have appeared in a range of journals, including American Poetry Review, DIAGRAM, Missouri Review, and The Southern Review. She teaches in the English Department at Illinois Wesleyan University.
