What’s In Store For Spring – Ian

Hey everyone!
I am SUPER excited to be back at it for another semester at Bradley! I have a lot of really exciting things that I can’t wait for, and thought I would share my excitement with all of you, cuz why not?
I think the thing that I am most excited about this semester is being the President of ACBU. For those of you who don’t know, ACBU stands for the Activities Council of Bradley University. As an organization, we are responsible for planning big events and lots of live entertainment from comedians to magicians to live music. We are in charge of planning Homecoming Week, Siblings Weekend and are also known for putting on the large concert, Recess! I am super excited about Recess this year! Walk the Moon will be performing, and as an executive board member of ACBU, I get to help run the concert, meet the artists, and learn how to put on a large concert! As President, I am really excited to lead the organization and the awesome executive board that we have this year. I have a lot of fun ideas that I would love to implement into ACBU, and I can’t wait to try to help grow the organization in many new ways!
Oddly enough, I am also really excited about my classes this semester. I have heard great things about my professors for this semester, and all the topics for my courses really interest me. I am taking a course on social media, which I think is going to help me grow for my internship both with the Admissions office and the one I have this summer. I am also taking a class called “Fiction Workshop” which is for Creative Writing students. I can’t wait to be able to write some fun (and probably very weird) stories this semester. Also, I will say a huge added perk for my semester is that I have friends that I know in EVERY SINGLE ONE of my classes! Trust me, class is much more exciting when you have a friend to go through it with.
The last thing I am really excited for this semester is to keep meeting a bunch of you! With many exciting visit days and admitted senior days in the spring I love being able to talk to all of you who are committed to coming to Bradley, or are really close to committing! You are all really fun people, and I am excited to be able to talk to you about Bradley, your interests, or life in general. So if you see me at a visit day, please say hi!
Well, I could continue to share with you all of the things I am excited for this semester, from my trip to Denver to my orchestra concerts, but I don’t know how exciting that would be. Instead, I want to hear from you! What are you doing this semester? What are you excited about in your LAST semester of high school? Let me know, I would love to hear!
