Winds on the Hilltop

The Symphonic Winds will present a concert on February 28 at 3 p.m. in Dingeldine Music Center.

The Bradley University Symphonic Winds will present a concert on Sunday, February 28, at 3 p.m. in Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue. Tickets are $5 for adults and free to students. Tickets are available at the door prior to the concert or in advance by contacting the Cultural Events Box Office at 309-677-2650.

This short wind band program will feature “Sinfonia Noblissima” by Robert Jager, “Celtic Hymns and Dances” by Eric Ewazen, “Toccata” by Girolamo Frescobaldi arr. by Earl Slocum, “The Wolverine” by John Philip Sousa, “John Williams: An Evening At the Pops” arranged by John Higgins and “Serenade for Clarinet” by Alfred Reed.

The featured clarinet soloist with be senior Evan Leong.  Leong is a double major in music and electrical engineering. He is from Bridgeton, Missouri and active in the Bradley Symphony Orchestra as well as the Symphonic Winds.

Dr. David Vroman, the Director of Band Activities and the Chairperson for the Department of Music conducts the Symphonic Winds.
