Bradley Speech Team is undefeated

The Bradley University Speech Team finishes the month of October continuing its undefeated streak this season. Along with hosting the Dan Smith Invitational at the beginning of the month, the team went on to victories at Illinois State University, Ball State University, University of Illinois-Chicago, Northwestern University, University of Northern Iowa, and the University of Nebraska-Omaha. This string of victories represents wins over 40 plus teams from California to Michigan, Texas to Minnesota, and everywhere in between. After a tough month of competition against top programs like the University of Texas at Austin, Western Kentucky University, Illinois State University, among others, the team will again shift its role to tournament hosts.

This weekend, 11/4-5, the team will host the 70th Annual LE Norton Memorial Tournament. Dubbed by many as “Fall Nationals,” the tournament is the largest collegiate speech tournament in the nation and is estimated to bring approximately 600 people to campus. To take some of the pressure off of our guests, the team themes the tournament each year to offer a fun atmosphere to accompany the brutal competition. This year the tournament will be affectionately called the “Norton Reality Challenge” and encompass all the entertainment from our favorite reality competition shows like Survivor, The Bachelor, Chopped, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and more.
