Late Night BU

Late Night BU is an alcohol-free night of entertainment planned, promoted and run by students. The monthly events include food from local restaurants, giveaways and a variety of activities. LNBU has featured card games, DJ party music, paintball, fencing competitions, crafts, glow-in-the-dark mini-golf and other amusements.

The Late Night BU Planning Committee is always looking to partner with student organizations for a LNBU! Collaboration is an excellent way to increase student awareness of your organization!

If you are interested in contributing to LNBU’s success, please contact Michael Trubshaw at [email protected] to learn more. Since event coordinators typically begin planning LNBUs several months prior to the event date, the sooner you contact us the better chance we’ll be able to have of collaborating.

There are two main ways your organization can partner with LNBU:

  • Plan and manage an activity Your organization can find, develop and manage an activity at an event. LNBU can cover the costs of implementing this activity.
  • Volunteer at an activity – The LNBU Planning Committee will organize the activity, but your organization will run it at LNBU.

Students can also volunteer at a LNBU without being associated with an organization. If you’re interested in doing so, please contact us to let us know.

Student Employment Opportunities

Applications are currently closed. We will be hiring again in Fall 2025.

Sponsorships and donations have contributed significantly to LNBU’s success. These contributions have helped reduce high risk drinking for Bradley University students. Our three main types of sponsorships include catering, goods and services, and financial contributions.

Food sponsorships are among the most important donations we receive for Late Night BU. At each event we provide a late night snack for approximately 1,200 students. Catered food and staff support is frequently donated by local restaurants. Alexander’s Steakhouse and Aramark Dining Services have been tremendous supporters of LNBU by sponsoring the meal for one LNBU per semester. We have also enjoyed donations of prepackaged foods from companies such as ConAgra.

Other local businesses have donated services and prizes. Fun on the Run provides free inflatables for one LNBU each year. Regent Broadcasting arranges a night of entertainment with a DJ or band. Allegiant Air contributed two airline tickets to be given away as prizes at LNBUs one year.

Financial donations improve the quantity and quality of activities at Late Night BU. LNBUs are largely funded through a student activity fee; however, we rely on financial support from a variety of local organizations to provide activities which continue to draw large quantities of students. Past financial sponsors have included Allstate Insurance and Brewers Distributing.

Businesses and organizations can benefit in a variety of ways from sponsoring or donating goods and services for a Late Night BU. Each LNBU attracts 1,200-1,500 college students ages 18 – 24. LNBUs are terrific venues for promoting your company and/or services. LNBU sponsors are listed on posters, student-wide emails, the event Facebook page prior to the event. Throughout the past year, LNBUs have received press coverage from newspapers such as The Scout and the Peoria Journal Star. Stories of LNBU’s success have also been covered by radio station WCBU. By sponsoring LNBU, your company can be proud to support an initiative aimed at curbing high risk behavior among college students.

If you are interesting in sponsoring a Late Night BU event, please contact Michael Trubshaw at [email protected]. We would love to add your company/restaurant to our growing list of sponsors.
