Center for Cybersecurity – Cyber 100

Cyber 100 is an exclusive, one-day cybersecurity event hosted by the Center for Cybersecurity at Bradley University. This program introduces high school juniors to the exciting and ever-evolving field of cybersecurity, providing hands-on experiences, expert insights, and a real-world cybersecurity competition.

Through interactive sessions led by industry professionals, cybersecurity educators, and undergraduate mentors, students will gain practical skills, explore academic and career pathways, and engage in cybersecurity challenges that test their problem-solving abilities.

Who Can Participate?

Cyber 100 is open to high school juniors from the Peoria, Illinois metropolitan area who meet the following criteria:

  • Interest in technology, computer science, or cybersecurity
  • Enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills
  • Nominated by a teacher, counselor, or school staff member
  • Accompanied by a school representative (teacher, counselor, or staff member) during the event

  • Cybersecurity Best Practices – Learn how to protect against cyber threats in today’s digital world.
  • Industry Insights & Networking – Hear from cybersecurity professionals and academic experts about career and educational opportunities.
  • Hands-On Workshops – Engage in interactive exercises on ethical hacking, social engineering, and network security.
  • Cyber 100 Competition – Compete in a real-world cybersecurity challenge, applying what you’ve learned to solve security scenarios.
  • Exploring Cybersecurity Careers – Discover the vast career paths available in cybersecurity, from ethical hacking to digital forensics.

How to Get Involved

For Educators

High school teachers, counselors, and staff members are invited to nominate students who show interest and potential in cybersecurity or technology-related fields. A school representative must accompany each nominated student for the duration of the event.

For Students

Do you have a passion for technology and cybersecurity? Ask your teacher or counselor to nominate you for Cyber 100! This is a great opportunity to learn, compete, and connect with professionals in the field.

Volunteer as a Mentor & Session Leader

Bradley University undergraduate students can volunteer as mentors and session leaders, helping guide high school students through workshops and challenges. This is a great opportunity for students pursuing cybersecurity and technology fields to gain leadership experience, develop communication skills, and network with professionals.
