Biography
Ali Zohoori began his tenure at Bradley University in 2000, joining the Department of Communication as Chairperson after serving in the same capacity in the Department of Communication Media at the State University of New York College at Oneonta. Following two terms as Department Chair at Bradley, Ali returned to full-time teaching and research.
During his 20 years at Bradley University, he oversaw significant curricular revisions, including the creation of the Organizational Communication major. He also strengthened alumni engagement and played a key role in establishing the Ebeling Prize, sponsored by the late Chuck Ebeling, Class of 1966 and former Vice President of McDonald’s Corporation. Ali also published numerous research articles and book chapters, served on the editorial board of Journalism Quarterly, contributed to local and state publications such as the Transmitter Newsletter and InterBusiness Issues, and completed three sabbaticals in Iran, teaching at the IRIB College of Sound and Sight and the Social Sciences College of the University of Tehran.
After 42 years in higher education, Ali was awarded emeritus status by Bradley University in 2020. He is currently enjoying his retirement and serving as a certified elections administrator in Washington State.
