Biography
Before joining the Smith Career Center in 2014, David spent a decade in the nonprofit sector specializing in development and communications. Today, his work is dedicated to connecting students, employers, and impactful experiential learning opportunities.
Leading a dedicated team, he oversees the internship registration process through the Springer Center for Internships. International students rely on him for guidance through the Curricular Practical Training (CPT) process, ensuring a smooth transition into the domestic workforce. Additionally, he teaches a first-year course focused on life design, time management, and effective campus engagement.
David provides strategic support to companies looking to develop, launch, or expand their internship programs. By leveraging campus networks and career center resources, he connects corporate and nonprofit partners with emerging talent.
Nationally, he serves as the Vice President of Region 4 for the Cooperative Education and Internship Association (CEIA). Within the organization, he coordinates the task force and serves as a faculty member for ASCEND, the association’s program designed for emerging and aspiring leaders.

Scheduled student appointments are designed for more in-depth questions regarding general internship information, part-time employment, resumes, cover letters, interviews, job fair preparation, online resources, etc. International students seeking to complete the Curricular Practical Training (CPT) process to conduct an internship in their field of study while at Bradley, must read all information on the CPT BeConnected page prior to scheduling an appointment with David.
