Biography
Jeremy Clark is an affiliate instructor for drum set in the Department of Music at Bradley University. Clark is a professional percussionist native to Peoria, IL. He obtained his Associate in Art Degree from Illinois Central College and attended Bradley University, studying percussion under Ms. Peggy Bonner. He toured throughout the United States with various groups including Jack Morgan and the Russ Morgan Orchestra and the world-famous Dallas Brass. Early career ventures led him to Europe to play at the Montreux and Brienz Jazz Festivals in Switzerland, the Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy, and the Jazz À Vienne Festival in France. Jeremy has performed with the St. Louis Brass Band, St. Charles Big Band, Gateway City Big Band, and the Blue Knights of Swing. In 2012, he formed JC and The Redemption, an eleven-piece soul/funk/stax band, with whom he’s had the honor of collaborating with featured artists Tom “Bones” Malone and Victor Wooten.
He performs regularly with the Peoria Symphony Orchestra, Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Millikin- Decatur Symphony Orchestra, Heartland Festival Orchestra, Water Street Stompers, Central Illinois Jazz Orchestra, Central Illinois Jazz Society House Band, and the Peoria Municipal Band, among others. Clark also had the honor of performing with the Broadway on Tour production of “Wicked”. Besides playing regularly, Clark is very active in the educational scene as an adjudicator and clinician at district festivals and numerous local schools. He has presented clinics at the Illinois Music Education Conference and the Midwest Clinic in Chicago.
He is the Percussion Instructor at Dunlap High School, Limestone Community High School and East Peoria Community High School. In 2019, he co-founded Clark Music Studios with his wife. He also has several arrangements published with Alfred Music and enjoys freelance arranging in his spare time.
