Biography
Dr. Rajesh Godasu earned his Ph.D. (2024) and M.S. (2017) in Information Systems from Dakota State University, and holds a B.Tech. in Electronics & Communication from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (2014). Prior to Bradley University, Dr. Godasu worked as Instructor of Data Science in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department (SEECS) at the University of North Dakota from August 2023 to August 2025, where he was responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses on subjects such as Machine Learning , Data Visualization, Data Science Ethics and Computing for Data Science.
Awards and Achievements
First place in the Research poster competition at South Dakota State University Data Science Symposium 2020 for the poster titled “Multi-Stage Transfer Learning System with Lightweight Architectures in Medical Image Classification”.
Best Paper award for IEEE World AIIOT 2024 at Seattle for “Classification of Microcystins Based on Temperature Data in North Dakota Lakes”.
Top 25% paper award for “Impact of dataset size and transfer learning on truncated lightweight architecture” at AMCIS 2024.
Graduate Research Initiative Award ($500 GRI grant from Dakota State University)

Scholarship
His research interests revolve around applying Deep Learning and Machine Learning strategies in medical image analysis, text mining, and data-driven decision support in healthcare. He has published in MWAIS, AMCIS, IEEE AIIoT, and SAIS.
