Dr. Claire Etaugh, Professor of Psychology, was awarded a Caterpillar Professorship by Bradley University August 20 in recognition of her outstanding scholarly achievements.
Dr. Etaugh’s scholarly activity focuses on two areas of psychology: child development and the psychology of women. She has earned a national reputation for excellence by publishing nearly 100 research articles in peer-reviewed journals, coauthoring three textbooks, and publishing nine chapters in edited books.
Dr. Etaugh is a firm believer in the intimate connection between research and teaching. She states that conducting collaborative research with students “provides them with a learning experience that stimulates curiosity and stretches the mind.” Throughout her career she has conducted collaborative research with dozens of students and approximately 75% of all her publications have student co-authors.
