Program overview
About this program
EdD students work with education scholars and experienced practitioners in the field, examining leadership theories, policy, and practice through the lens of equity and opportunity. Whether you lead at a community college, shape policy for a school district or government agency, direct training and development in a corporate or nonprofit setting, or manage the technology behind modern learning, the program is structured to let you apply what you’re studying directly to the challenges in front of you.
Coursework is asynchronous, with optional live discussions that are recorded if you can’t make them.
How the program works
A cohort, an action research project, and a concentration
-
Modified cohort model
You progress with a small group of peers, five to ten students, and take core and action research courses alongside students in the other concentration. You get to know a core group well while meeting a range of students from other backgrounds, experiences and concentrations.
-
Action research project
A five-course sequence guides your cohort together from choosing a research question relevant to your own career through ethics, design, data analysis, and reporting, culminating in an original written project you present and apply to real practice.
-
Internship or portfolio
Higher Education Administration students complete a two-semester internship inside a live higher education institution. Digital and Online Education students build an online portfolio of technology and media for instruction, developed with their cohort’s feedback.
-
100 thousand dollars
average pay in educational administration
-
15,300
openings a year for postsecondary administrators
-
4%
projected growth in postsecondary administrator jobs

What graduates say about the program
Bradley’s Ed.D. program was developed by hands-on, experienced professors and administrators bringing their expertise and higher ed insight into the program. My professors were involved in my learning and journey, encouraging me every step of the way.
One thing that I absolutely loved about this program is that it is asynchronous, so I could juggle work, school, and mom life comfortably.
